Cossacks kulish

   Cossack kulish is a traditional Ukrainian dish that originated among the Zaporizhzhya Cossacks. Kulish-on-a-way  – “bowl of millet, a piece of bacon …” “rich” soup with pork tails and “pocherevyna” (fat from the belly part), soup with pike or catfish, dry soup with mushrooms in butter – all of this is prepared by experienced Cossack-koshovar (who is preparing for a basket of 900Cossacks) at Chayka (Seagull – Cossack’s ships), forest or desert. Koshovar – is not only a cook – a true Cossack-sorcerer, herbalist and chiropractor, artistic and warrior story-tale-man,man that any settlement deal – a respected person in the community, which counsel and no one has ever contended.
